Mainly about Strawberry Pao. What?! Why?!

Hi buns,

Interesting title right? I just read from cookie ice cream blog about lack of titles. Hmm. Just think of something else would do. Anyway, today i will be discussing about Strawberry Pao. Or with some professional advice.

I called Strawberry Pao yesterday and it complained to me about NAFA (Refer to older post to know the name). It told me that the life in NAFA is quite bad. Paos in there like to say negative things about each other. Perhaps it is to put others down? I have no idea.

Anyway there will always be pao politics everywhere. No matter where. In school, in work or even among relatives. Hmm. Seems quite serious. Politics are part and parcel of life. So how to survive? Today, i have invited Mr Sembawang Fried Hokkien Mee who is an expert in this field to discuss. He is also the CEO of "Surviving In This Society"

Below are what he said regarding this issue:

Well, as mentioned by our host earlier, politics will always exist. So 1 simple way to survive is to be neutral and ignore what others said. In other words, it means to be insenstitive and stubborn. This is 1 way whereby to be insenstitive and stubborn are put to good use.

Personally, i also felt challenged. Before i became the CEO of the company, i never dreamt that i would be in this position.

Since young, i have always been looked down upon. There will always be peole calling me fat, stupid, etc. It was true. I was fat. But see me now, i am a very fit and healthy person.

I even thought that i would be a pest to the society, not being able to contribute in any way. However, 1 incident changed my thinking.

While i was studying at Making Sense Polytechnic, i felt that i am only average in the class. As i was in semester 3.2 or the final semester, my class in year 3 was filled with a lot of smart people. But then there was 1 subject that i was interested in. So i took a lot of effort to study.

When it was nearing the exams, i put in even more effort. I studied from day to night for almost a week for that subject. I used over 100 pieces of receipt and over 60 recycled paper (because i am envirnomental-friendly person).

And when studying i did not bother about how others studied or how well will the smart people in my class excel. In fact, i felt that i belong to lower quarter of the class. There is just too many smart people in my class. I wonder why. Hmm. Anyway, my GPA was only 3.3 while others were 3.9, 3.8, 3.7, etc. But whatever the case i put in my best effort and only expected to get an A (which is 80 marks and above).

Then when the results came, i got a Distinction (which is the top 5%of students who took the subject). As my class is the only class taking this subject, I am the only 1 being awarded Distinction. And also as my result is much better than the 2nd best person, I am the only 1 deserving the distinction.

How about the smart people, they only get A at best. During the graducation ceremony on 19 May 2009, I received my diploma as well as a book prize of $200 from Singing Lame Songs Pte Ltd.

So after that i always feel that any average person can also emerge top as long as the opportunity arises. Till today, i still feel proud of myself.

So the important factor is to believe in oneself. Always believe in oneself and do according to what one deem fit. Do not be affected by what others said. They probably want you to feel bad and so they can excel. Do not fall into their trap.

Have confidence in yourself. Always believe that you can do it.

Another example, the time that i took to lose weight is a very hard period. It is mentally draining and many a times i feel like giving up. But no, I can do it and i must do it. And the consequence, I succeeded and now i can feel good about myself.

So once again, always believe in yourself. Make use of opportunities to prove yourself. Everyone can excel as long as you take the effort and believe that you can do it.

So in the case of Strawberry Pao, you know what to do. Oh ya, about how i got to CEO of the company, it is the same. I also started off as a clerk in the company but i worked my way up.

Thank you all. Thank you Doraemon (the host of the show).

And above is what Mr Sembawang Hokkien Mee has to say to us. Thanks to him once again.

There is something i would like to say. Some of the Places and all the names are fiction. For the paces, it is just for fun. For the names, it is to protect the identity of the people involved. As long as they know who they are can already. Same concept applies to me.

And also, if there is any mystery visitor, they will not understand what i mean. So far, apart from Me, only Strawberry Pao and Cookie Ice Cream knows the people that have been mentioned in this blog. Maybe Orange Pao knows a bit.

Okay, as requested from Doraemon or is it myself? Whatever. Anyway, i just want to thank all my readers for reading this post. Do take care and stay positive. Also, believe in yourself.

That is the end for this post. Stay tune for more posts coming up.

Yours Sincerely,
Doraemon
